Terrible Experience

This dentist office will do anything for money. I should have turned away when I got a bad review from one of my co-workers but I had already scheduled my appointment so I figured I would go for a cleaning an see for myself. Luckily I was prepared for what was to come and I escaped with little damage. The constantly try and sell you additional "services" that you don't need an conviently aren't covered by any insurance provider. There is a reason why no insurance provider covers it...it's not necessary. After turning down these "services" they were very frustrated with me and barely cleaned my teeth before shipping me out. I will never go back there again and will tell everyone that I know to stay away. It's a complete waste of time and money.

I had a root canal in 2002 at Vinings Dental Group, crapped with a crown. The procedure seemed to go well enough except I do recall a bad bedside manner and I had to pester them to permanently seal the crown on the tooth (they left it with temporary cement for some reason...). Additionally, when they were shaping the crown with a drill, they chipped the porcelain and exposed a small part of the metal. They left it that way. Now, fast forward to 2005. I went to get a routine cleaning at a new dentist in Kennesaw, and he noted bleeding and decay under the crown. He removed the old crown , removed the decayed portion, rebuilt the base and put a new crown. I immediately noticed how much better the new crown fit into my mouth. Again, fast forward to 2008. I was having pain and swelling at the site of the original root canal, and went into my dentist. He sent me to an endodontist, who noted there was an infection at the base of the root and did a completely new root canal. Basically all of the work Vinings Dental did for me (crown and root canal) has had to be redone. I do not recommend this place.
